MORE STUFF FROM ME

Medium — I write short stories and some poems. I also like this platform because it’s clean and a better tumblr.

T-naciou$ — Audios of my rap songs.  Shameless.

Youtube – Thiquisha — This is my video archive site.  All videos for your perusing.

COOL VIDEOS

3 a’s of awesome  — My friends are awesome and this video literally describes my friends.  I am who I am because of my friends.

The Biological Advantage of Being Awestruck — Awe has helped us survive.

Ira Glass on Storytelling — To close the gap between your taste and your work.

Morgan Freeman — He’s such a boss.

Ryan Gosling — Watch how he explains how depressing it is to be an actor. This is an excerpt from the documentary, Seduced & Abandoned on HBOGO.

The Power of Vulnerability —  TED talk.  Brené Brown studies human connection — our ability to empathize, belong, love.  one of my favorites of all time.  I blogged about it here.

Your Body Language Shapes Who You Are — TED talk. Social psychologist Amy Cuddy shows how “power posing” can affect testosterone and cortisol levels in the brain and might even have an impact on our chances for success.

What If Money Didn’t Matter — Beautiful video and I absolutely love everything it has to say.  Duh.

COOL PEOPLE

1.2.3MUSIC — When I’m not working or hustling, I’m hanging out with my friends and this is just what we do.

Caine’s Arcade — A cardboard arcade made by a 9 year old boy. Seriously, it’s totally cool.  I’ve been sharing this video everywhere and I just wanted to put it in my blog to remind myself that you can do anything.

Christopher Nolan — Duh. An interview of him just to further show his badassness.

Entertainment Career Strategy — I’ve worked for this lady, Shawn Tolleson.  She was not only my boss, she’s a boss.  She provides valuable coaching to people in the entertainment business.  She really knows what’s she’s talking about and is really generous with her tips and advice.

Hueman — My friend Allison Torneros.  We lived on the same dorm floor. I remember walking by her room and saw her painting with acrylic and what looked like latex boobs 😡 She’s super urban and super cool.

Intentional Acting — My acting teacher, Loren Chadima.  I adore her and her method works for me.

Ross Ching — This is my friend Ross Ching’s website. I’ve known this guy since middle school.  Even then he was making videos — they were light saber fights (nerd). Now he directs music videos for people like Kina Grannis, Gareth Emery, and Death Cab.

Your Brand Identified — “Everyone is a brand … on the planet with their own unique identity.” -Sylvie Obledo.  Sylvie is smart, comforting and spiritual.  I had no idea that her class would be what it became for me.  She really explores your essence and encourages you to bring it out to the world.

COOL LIT

Creative People — Interesting article about how there are many contradictions to a creative person. obviously this resonated with me because in my own world, irony is the bane of my existence.  I guess this article just validated who I am … and that is a creative person. And I’m ok with that.

Goodreads — It has the biggest archive of books ever. You can make a free account and keep track of what books you’ve read or would like to read.  You can friend other people and see what books they’ve read. You can rate the books, and the site will even recommend you books based on what you’ve liked. I got my book club to get on it.

Metafilter — A weblog that exists to break down the barriers between people, to extend a weblog beyond just one person, and to foster discussion among its members. People posts interesting articles they find online and people leave comments and have discussions on them.

Milton Glaser — Essays from one of the most celebrated graphic designer of the us.  He’s the guy that did the I ❤ ny logo.

Stanislavisky — Acting lessons and life lessons. Magic what ifs and becoming oneself. Meta. My thoughts on the book  An Actor Prepares.

The War of Art — This book was transformative and I wrote a blog post about it here.
